Sea Air Space uses an optical comparator which magnifies the part on a screen in order to measure the dimensions and geometry against the prescribed limits.
We also employ a Zeiss Contoura G2 CMM (coordinate measuring machine). This machine uses a probe attached to a moving 3-axis head to precisely measure the X, Y, and Z coordinates against the design intent. Our machine can operate either manually or automatically both efficiently and without a loss of accuracy.
Our CMM machine is not used exclusively for quality control, but can be used for reverse engineering as well. The probe can collect an unlimited amount of data points, and then export the data to the appropriate file format.
